How does science line up with our faith? Or does it at all? Did we evolve from monkeys like they teach us in school? We will be looking at what Scripture has to say about Creation and who were are made to be as "image-bearers." We want to equip our students to think through the various theories for themselves and let Scripture lead them in their belief.

Jr./Sr. High Youth
Northbrook Covenant Youth is open to all students in grades 6 through 12--even if you don’t attend our church! All are welcome! Come exactly as you are! Our students meet on Sunday nights from 6–8 p.m. in the Youth Room for a time of worship, creative elements such as games and spiritual practices, and a message tailored directly for middle school and high school students from God’s word. Northbrook Covenant Youth is committed to building a community of students passionately following Jesus in a way that compels others to follow Him. There are many ways for our students to participate in service projects around the community along with fun outings and weekend retreats where students have the opportunity to grow deeper in their faith. Winter Camp
Registration is now open online at covenantharbor.org for Winter Camp 2019 for both our Jr. High and High School students. We will be going to Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva, WI from February 15-17! Cost per student is $159 and includes food, lodging, activities like tubing, broomball, and the Polar Plunge!
This year's theme is Expedition inspired by Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV). Expeditions are awesome! There is adventure, and risk, and challenge. Expeditions require a bunch of different people to do a bunch of different jobs, all to accomplish a common purpose. And this is what Jesus invites us into. This is what Jesus invites you into.

Discipleship/Confirmation
Confirmation is a one-year discipleship program taught by the Director of Youth Ministries in conjunction with the Lead Pastor that is intended for middle school students (grades 6-8); however, if you have a student that is in high school and has not yet been confirmed, we encourage the student to join as well. Confirmation gives students the opportunity to learn the church’s history, truths of the Christian faith, and the stories of the Bible, while developing discipling relationships with pastors and mentors. Students learn to articulate what they believe about the Bible and how biblical faith translates into Christian living and responsibility in the world. CHIC Conference
What is CHIC? CHIC is the only conference that gathers students every three years from throughout the Evangelical Covenant Church in one place for five days of worship, transformation, and fun. CHIC acts as a catalyst in students’ lives, helping them see the big picture of God’s kingdom and inspiring them to dive deeper in their faith–together. CHIC is held at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and is open to all High school students are eligible to attend CHIC if they will complete grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 in the academic school year on which CHIC falls. Our next CHIC gathering will be in July 2021.
