  • Friday, March 29, 4 - 7 PM
  • Saturday, March 30, 9 - 12 PM

WHAT IS THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS?

The Stations of the Cross is a set of illustrations (stations) depicting scenes of Jesus from the Garden of Gethsemane to his crucifixion, Traditionally, there are 14 stations. This year at Northbrook we will have a shortened version with 8 stations.

WHY GO THROUGH THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS?

The goal of the stations is to guide us in a spiritual pilgrimage through reflecting on Jesus’ own pilgrimage to the cross. This also an opportunity to reflect on the ways that Jesus’ journey to death personally affects/relates to your life. How is God speaking to YOU through his journey to the cross?

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

  • Come ready to spend time alone with God in prayer and reflection.
  • A reflection booklet will be provided for you to help guide you through each station.
  • Movement through all the stations will take approximately 30-60 minutes (depending on how long you spend at each station).
  • We will be using a set of illustrations from IllustratedMinistry.com. See an example to the left.
